What does a CASA Volunteer do?

CASA volunteer advocates come from all walks and stages of life to advocate on behalf of child victims of abuse or neglect. It's not necessary for a volunteer to have a legal or social work background - only a heart to speak up for a child in need.

Who can be a volunteer advocate?

Anyone who meets the following criteria is eligible to train as a CASA volunteer advocate. However, final selection is at the discretion of the CASA program.

  • Must provide references (2 professional, 1 personal allowed)
  • Required to interview with CASA staff
